Chief Executive Officer – NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board We are seeking a values-driven, strategic leader for the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB). The position is a senior system‑level role vital to driving the transformation required to implement the Model ICB Blueprint, shaping services, reducing inequalities, and ensuring resources deliver the best outcomes for a population of 1.4 million. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and vision for the ICB’s core purposes: understanding local need, developing a long‑term population health strategy, allocating resources to reduce health inequalities, and evaluating impact. Lead the transformation into a Model ICB, ensuring successful delivery of the 2025/26 plans and redesign of organisational functions. Oversee the strategic commissioning of NHS‑funded services, aligning investment with outcomes and improving value for money. Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with partners across the NHS, local government, and the voluntary and community sector. Support and develop the executive team, ensuring high performance, compassionate leadership, and accountability. Qualifications & Experience Substantial experience operating at board level and as CEO in a complex, regulated, consumer‑facing environment. Proven track record leading significant organisational or system‑wide transformation. Deep understanding of health, care, and local government systems, and the wider determinants of health. Experience developing and delivering long‑term strategies that improve outcomes and value. Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
