We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life.Role description: We are currently seeking 2 personable, enthusiastic, and energetic Associate Commercial Directors to join our Cost & Commercial Management team to support our continuing growth within our resilience business for key clients in the Water Sector.You will be an Associate Commercial Director within our Cost & Commercial Management team, working on a variety of water/utilities projects and programmes in the Reading, London and South Coast area. You’ll help deliver some of the biggest, most iconic projects imaginable with some of the best talent around. With your energy, agility and keen eye for detail, you’ll deliver transformational outcomes for multiple clients to deliver a more sustainable tomorrow. Role accountabilitiesIn this role, you will take ownership of a range of projects on cost management assignments, ensuring that standards of delivery meet defined objectives. Our team of Graduate, Assistant, Project, & Senior level Cost Consultants workon a variety of clean and wastewater projects and support our clients with the protection and enhancement of environmental matters across the country.Providing thought leadership and strategic oversight.Ensuring technical competence and quality within our delivery teams including review and sign off team outputs before submission to our clients.Establishing friendly, professional and .friendly, strong connections and professional relationships with our clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.Work within established financial systems to provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow to ensure that applications are made correctly and on time through all gateways to minimise cost and scope changes throughout the project life cycle.Collaborating with client and commercial teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.Provide advice on and manage Risk and value management/meetings as required for the projects.Manage relationships and collaborate with clients and external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and create new business opportunitiesAnalyse and review a range of data and documents to collate key themes and trends, using this analysis in conjunction with own knowledge to provide advice and make recommendations to support cost and commercial management decision-making.Leading people and commissions as needed with line manager duties for the team.Ensuring that final accounts are audited, negotiated and agreedOther requirementsHybrid working with requirements for client travel between London, Reading and South Coast areasQualifications & ExperiencePossess a minimum 10 years postgraduate experience in Commercial ManagementHave a minimum of 3 years experience in the water industryIs an experienced leader of cost and commercial teamsExperience in Client DevelopmentDemonstrating self-management and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure.Good knowledge of specialised fields, including construction processes and cost and commercial management in a consultancy setting.NEC Contract experience and iChemE DesirablePossess the skills to actively support our internal team and manage staff on projects typically ranging between £40m and £150m.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and third parties.Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineeringExperience in managing, coaching and mentoring colleaguesCapable of taking a project through from inception to completion.Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.Appropriate professional body membership e.g MRICS, CinstCES (or equivalent)Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
