IP Partner – Bristol

TSR Legal are currently partnering with a highly regarded Top 100 law firm who are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property (IP) Partner to join their multi-office dynamic team in Bristol. As a firm with international reach, our client offers comprehensive legal services and are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to their clients.

Our client is a leading UK law firm with global reach, with offices across the UK. The firm offers a full range of legal services to a diverse client base, including multinational corporations, entrepreneurs, and public sector organizations. The firm has deep expertise in key sectors such as energy, financial institutions, real estate, manufacturing, retail, and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a broad spectrum of IP matters, including both contentious and non-contentious issues.
  • This encompasses managing IP rights disputes, negotiating agreements, and handling assignments, licenses, confidentiality agreements, and research and development agreements.
  • Work closely with senior team members across the UK offices to provide seamless services to their clients.
  • Guide and supervise junior solicitors, fostering their professional growth and serving as a resource for IP expertise.
  • Engage actively in business development initiatives and client interactions to enhance both team and personal reputation as an IP specialist. While a client following is desirable, it is not mandatory.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in robust IP work, advising significant clients on high-value matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a comprehensive range of IP work, including both contentious and non-contentious aspects.
  • Proven track record in mentoring and supervising junior solicitors.
  • Experience in business development and client relationship management.
