You will oversee all aspects of building functions and guarantee the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in facilities management processes and exhibits high multitasking and organizational abilities.In this role, you will be in charge of:Ensuring a first-class service experience is received by all customers through various communication channels.Delivering and reinforcing a ‘customer-driven’ culture of continuous improvement to ensure that the highest possible service level is consistently received.Ensuring all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures.Maintaining equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements.Organizing and planning building installations and refurbishments as and when necessary.Managing facilities staff and communication with external contractors and vendors.Keeping building and all facilities up to required standards and accurately following maintenance protocols.Managing cleaning and maintenance responsibilities to team members/service providers.Running routine maintenance inspections in line with compliance requirements.Monitoring interior and exterior areas of the building for cleanliness and general conservation.Preparing and implementing project budgets and timeframes for any building/maintenance needs.Complying with UK Health and Safety policies and procedures.Supporting maintenance and installation work as needed.Liaising with local, national, or global external providers to ensure the site runs in a seamless and cost-effective manner.Being accountable for Facility costs and exploring alternative cost-effective approaches while maintaining required service levels.Arranging and coordinating any site issues reported in a professional and timely manner, including relevant communication to site users if appropriate.Fuel your passion:To be successful in this role, you will:Have proven experience in a customer/supplier-facing role.Have demonstrable experience in facilities management and/or coordination.Have experience within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment (desirable).Have GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English.Have strong mechanical and generalist maintenance skills.Have knowledge of HVAC and other building systems.Have the ability to lift heavy objects and perform other labor-intensive tasks.Have excellent time management and multitasking skills.Have strong organizational and project management skills.Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Have knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures (UK-biased due to site location).Have the ability to manage budgets and coordinate contracts.Be familiar with UK HSE regulations.Have problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Have hands-on maintenance skills.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different, and the way people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.Working with usOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
