The location of the role is Guernsey, Channel IslandsThatcher Associates is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable construction company who have a solid work portfolio in the Channel Islands. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team in Guernsey.About the RoleThe successful candidate will manage day-to-day site operations on building projects typically ranging from £2m to £15m. Project types include apartments, hotels, schools, healthcare facilities, and other general building schemes.You will oversee a broad section of works including :Structural works and concrete framesFit-out and finishing tradesExternal works and interfaces with utilitiesCoordination of specialist subcontract packagesKey ResponsibilitiesManage daily site activities and workforceCoordinate, supervise, and drive subcontractor performanceReport progress to the Project ManagerMaintain programme, quality, and cost controlLead site logistics and sequencing to keep works moving efficientlyHealth & SafetyEnsure full compliance with company and statutory health & safety requirementsLead site safety briefings and toolbox talksMonitor site conditions, implement corrective actions, and promote a proactive safety cultureLocation & RelocationThis role is based in Guernsey, and candidates should be prepared to relocate.
