Head Registered Veterinary Nurse - Middleton, Leeds Harrison Family Vets are a family owned, independent group of busy, growing clinics providing pet health care that is second to none. Quality pet-focused healthcare career with a fun journey guaranteed We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, enthusiastic pet and people person to join our wonderful Middleton practice as Head Registered Veterinary Nurse. This will include general RVN duties, managing the RVN and reception team, conducting one-to-ones, team rota, and some general administrative duties. You will be working as part of an experienced RVN team, 3 fantastic vets, 1 VCA and 2 experienced front of house care co-ordinators. Our state-of-the-art clinic has 5 consult rooms, separate dog, cat and exotics wards with casco kennels, our innovative pod design in the waiting area, dental suite etc. 37.5 hours per week Shifts range from 8.30am–4.30pm to 11am–7pm Saturday morning rota 8.30am-1pm Nurse clinics Schedule 3 where applicable General 1st opinion theatre work A true family practice with a supportive, friendly team A pet-centric Fear Free practice New state-of-the-art clinic and equipment 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays (Good Friday worked but day in lieu given) Company events (fun Christmas party, regular socials etc) Day off for birthday Three days off to work for a local charity of your choice Free preventative healthcare plan for your pets plus generous discounts Private medical insurance Gym contribution WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT We provide a positive environment where you will be supported by vastly experienced owners that you will know and work with. We understand the differing needs of species and as such our cat wards have individual hideaway units so that they may feel more secure, weighing scales are covered with fake grass to be more appealing to our canine patients, and we obviously use an abundance of delicious and distracting treats to distract to make the journey as stress free as possible for all.
