Childrens Mental Health Assistant (full time, temporary) Tameside £444 - £475 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) Start date: November 2025 The School and Role A specialist school in Tameside are looking for a Childrens Mental Health Assistant to support young people and children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be based inside the classroom supporting students within education. Class sizes are small to ensure the needs of each pupil are met. You will be responsible for supporting their educational, social, and emotional development. Requirements Have a caring, supportive and nurturing personality Have experience of working with those with social, emotional, or mental health needs Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults Be someone who is patient, caring and adaptable to each young person you will support What we offer Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
