Join to apply for the DevOps Engineer role at Next. About the Role Next Technology is looking for DevOps Engineers with CI/CD pipeline experience to work with great teams of developers in our tech domains. We require an individual with exposure to cloud, ideally Microsoft Azure, and containerisation technologies using Docker and Kubernetes to drive innovation and adoption of new cloud services. About the Team We work closely with our Development Domains and Business users to ensure they have the right tools to get our products to market quickly and efficiently. We never standstill; we constantly evolve our technology, applications, and services for stakeholders. We are a group who love technology, push boundaries, and answer the what‑ifs. Working with us means exposure to new technologies, forcing change, and providing customers with better service. We also face challenges with legacy applications and older code languages, but who doesn’t love a good challenge? We promise an environment that is never dull, with the freedom and support to express yourself, propose new initiatives, and suggest any improvements. Our lean operation in a quick‑paced environment demands work efficiently, accurately, and under pressure. We expect excellent communication skills, teamwork, open discussion, and inclusion. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills will be advantageous as you drive new technologies and approaches at Next Technology. Responsibilities Create and modify infrastructure code to provision and configure cloud resources in line with IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS solutions. Automate the creation & deployment of Development, Test, Pre‑Production and Production environments via Infrastructure‑as‑Code. Maintain and govern all environments to ensure consistency of software. Manage application source code, ensuring branching strategies are followed. Use monitoring tools for application, server & service diagnostics. Assist development teams with performance and volume testing, and troubleshoot build and deployment issues. Identify departmental processes that can be streamlined or automated. Create and maintain technical documentation detailing high‑level and low‑level cloud solutions. Provide cloud expertise to guide project teams to develop in the most efficient manner and in line with best practices. Ensure use of DevSecOps principles and work alongside internal and external auditing and security teams. Work in tandem with agile principles, participating in sprint ceremonies and managing own workload. Coordinate and liaise with development project teams (Developers, QA Analysts, Project Managers) on requirements, planning, and status updates.
