These people are integral to the smooth running of the business; ensuring everyone is paid on time, that materials are sourced and arrive promptly, that we meet our legal obligations and that our health, safety, and security is safeguarded.About the Procurement Team and the RoleThe Procurement team support departments in delivering innovative, externally supported solutions and ensuring we make commercially astute decisions across our supply eco‑system. This role sits within the Raw Materials category, who manage all procurement relating to our raw materials sourcing across all areas of THG.This role reports into the THG Senior Buyer. Scope of the role covers full group.This role is suited to someone with previous experience in buying Raw Materials but we will consider candidates with a keen interest in direct procurement. The ideal candidate will be capable of working confidently with senior business leaders to ensure THG invest in the most sustainable materials.As a Buyer - Raw Materials & Packaging you will be responsible for:Negotiating contractual clauses ensuring risk is appropriately agreedBusiness partnership with many internal functions including Product Development, finance, supply chain and technical teamsExecuting strategic sourcing, choosing the correct channels and vendorsAbility to communicate contractual risk and opportunity to stakeholdersIdentify opportunities to structurally improve cost and productivity through supplier managementFocus on supply chain management to ensure we have the right packaging, at the right time and in the right placeCompleting tenders and subsequent commercial analysis to report back to senior management on savings delivered / impact to the businessSupporting face-to-face customer meetings, with Global partners & BrandsWhat skills and experience do I need for this role?Experience in buying raw materials and/or packagingStrong problem-solving skills and proactive mindsetHigh level of commercial acumenData analysisWhat's in it for me?Access bespoke development programmes that have been designed and developed by our in‑house L&D team.Continued development through our upskilling programme that is delivered in partnership with an industry‑leading training provider.>Enhanced Leave25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Don’t want to work on your birthday?
