We are seeking a driven and passionate individual to join our Policy and Impact team as a Research Assistant on a 6‑Month Fixed Term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Woodgreen’s strategic direction and inform our operational practices. Reporting to the Research Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a key research project exploring the lived experiences of individuals and their pets who utilise our community support services. This role is central to building our understanding and enhancing our support systems for pets and their people. Qualifications & Key Qualities Substantial experience of designing and delivering high quality qualitative research. Strong research and analytical skills, with an ability to gather, interpret, and present evidence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear and concise arguments. Empathy and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with diverse individuals, especially those in potentially vulnerable situations. Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Demonstrable passion for companion animal welfare. Benefits and Compensation Starting salary of £28,873 - £32,081 pro rata per annum (depending on experience). Pro rata equivalent of 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays), rising by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days after five years. Up to 8% employer pension contributions.
