Corporate Development Analyst – Agratas Location: Coventry, United Kingdom About Agratas: Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, designing, developing and manufacturing high‑performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. With headquarters in Coventry and a new manufacturing site in Somerset, Agratas is scaling its R&D facilities across the UK. Purpose of the Role We are recruiting an experienced Corporate Development Analyst to join our Corporate Development and Corporate Strategy teams. The analyst will provide commercial, partnership, and M&A insights in support of our strategy, working with incomplete information, and collaborating closely with functional experts and senior leaders to build knowledge and execute new partnerships and ventures. Key Responsibility Areas Support commercial innovation initiatives across the spectrum of corporate development activity. Help deliver our strategy by identifying, assessing and executing potential financing, partnerships, transactions, and investments (e.g., M&A, JVs) and new commercial ventures. Conduct independent research to produce balanced strategic insights for a wide range of topics and questions across the business. Understand the value of development opportunities and how transactions might be structured. Develop and deliver presentations to senior stakeholders, providing data‑driven analysis and recommendations. Maintain high‑quality relationships with internal subject‑matter experts. Create commercial business cases and innovative models to optimise benefits and minimise risk. Support financial modelling exercises to inform commercial analyses. Manage effective due diligence on potential targets and partners and drive post‑deal integration plans. Support deal structuring and negotiation of commercial terms and contracts. Engage with stakeholders and external partners, representing the company professionally. Qualifications and Experience Professional or advanced level qualification in finance (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or business administration (MBA) is beneficial, but not essential. Extensive experience in deals, including origination and execution of transactions and investments in a corporate development or strategy setting. Strong strategic, commercial and financial analysis and modelling skills. Ability to translate external changes into data‑driven, strategic recommendations. Creative thinking to drive superior commercial outcomes. Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills. High commercial acumen and ability to support negotiations. Strong commercial input to partnership and transaction documents. Project leadership across cross‑functional activities, managing multiple stakeholders. Organised, capable of balancing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. PowerPoint and Excel modelling skills essential. Resilience and creativity needed in a start‑up culture.
