Head of Central Supply Operations

This is a full‑time role, however flexibility in this will be considered. However there will be a need to travel regularly across the UK to visit all our manufacturing and logistics sites. What You'll Do Lead our Operational Efficiency team across manufacturing, logistics, and transport functions Develop team succession plans and deploy labour utilisation tools across sites Introduce control systems and a Greggs Operating System to improve supply chain performance Lead and coordinate central Supply Planning Team activities aligned with strategic and operational goals Influence senior stakeholders to ensure site teams have the right resources to meet customer demand Ensure Commercial Team is aligned and working towards shared objectives Use data and BI insights to identify site improvements and lead automation studies Promote a culture of customer focus, achievement, and accountability across planning and efficiency teams Oversee resource planning to maximise value and support wider business initiatives Ensure labour deployment meets statutory requirements and reflects best practice Lead budget planning and identify cost‑saving opportunities across the supply chain Communicate progress and initiatives clearly across sites and leadership teams Collaborate with systems and communications managers to ensure tools and messages drive engagement and efficiency What We Are Looking For Proven senior management experience in an operational efficiency/workforce planning role. A proven track record of delivering high levels of customer satisfaction within a central supply chain function. Experience of managing and delivering a significant budgetary responsibility The ability to think about the wider picture and make sound decisions. Experience of working with and influencing senior management. Experience of developing innovative solutions and contributing to strategic planning.
