Would you like to be part of a wider team that can give you wider opportunities in Global accounting?ResponsibilitiesPreparation and review of allocated VAT returns (UK and overseas)Review of EC Sales lists and intrastate declarationsReview of balance sheet tax related reconciliations by set deadlineAssist with the review of the annual PSA returnsMonitor postings made to VAT accounts and ensuring all journals are supported by appropriate documentation and correctly postedProvide advice and guidance to other teams within the shared services and within the business divisions in terms of offering guidance on new products, invoice complexities and adhoc queriesAssist with setting up new VAT registrations across the worldComplete system testing for new VAT rules and new products as the VAT landscape growsEnsure systems are up to date for VAT rate changes, liaising with the system teams as appropriatePrepare and provide VAT training to other teams and business divisions as requiredLead and take part in different VAT projects that benefit the long-term growth of the VAT team for continuous improvementQualificationsThe role will suit both qualified or qualified by experience accountant who have prepared financial accounts including VAT work.BenefitsOn offer is a great overall package including good benefits and hybrid working.Rutherford Briant is passionate about equity, diversity, and inclusion.
