We’re looking for a Data Governance Analyst to join our team at a salary of up to £35,000 plus benefits, offering hybrid working from Redhill, Exeter, or Bristol. This role provides the chance to tackle complex data governance challenges, ensure compliance, and drive data integrity—all with autonomy and ongoing development opportunities.Role OverviewAs a Data Governance Analyst, you’ll be key to maintaining the accuracy, security, and usability of enterprise data. You’ll support and enhance data governance frameworks, policies, and standards while collaborating across teams to embed best practices throughout the data lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesPromote and champion data governance principles across the organisationSupport data quality, metadata, and master data management initiativesDevelop and maintain data standards, policies, and proceduresImplement governance changes and gain stakeholder buy‑inMonitor compliance and escalate issues when neededFacilitate data stewardship and maintain glossaries / cataloguesCollaborate with IT and business teams to align governance with data strategiesConduct data quality assessments and support remediationMaintain metadata repositories and data lineage documentationSupport data classification and access controlsProvide training to enhance data literacy and reduce risksWhat we’re looking forUp-to-date knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practicesExperience with data catalogs and metadata managementFamiliarity with tools like Microsoft Purview and Azure data technologies (SQL, Data Factory, Data Lake)Proven ability to implement policies across diverse enterprisesExperience working in cross-functional IT teamsDegree in Information Management, Computer Science, or related fieldStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsUnderstanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and preferably MS Azure certificationsWhy you’ll love working with usWe know that the support and commitment of our staff is key to our success so you will receive the opportunity for ongoing development and training for a long-term career with us.
