About The Role UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE + MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our mental health team at HMP Gartree. HMP Gartree is a category B prison based in Market Harborough, housing around 650 patients. You will be working closely with the multi‑disciplinary team, including an integrated mental health team to deliver psychiatric support to adult males mainly aged 28‑50. Most of whom have complex mental health and historic trauma needs. Hours 20 hours per week works across 2.5 days. The site are also able to offer this as a rolling rota working 2 days one week and 3 days the next; we are also flexible regarding which days are worked Monday to Friday. If you are looking for full‑time work we can offer additional sessions working at either HMP Stocken or HMP Five Wells. Salary This position is 20 hours per week. You’ll receive an annual salary up to £186,480 per annum FTE – depending on experience. How will we support you? You will be part of a team of 20 plus experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatrists You will be able to attend monthly Consultant's meeting and 1:1 clinical supervision. What you'll be doing As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary. You will: Provide excellent clinical care, assessment and treatment to patients on the case load onsite. Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments and provide clinical supervision. Work within the multi‑disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi‑professional complex case reviews.
