CX719 Personal Assistant Location: HU9 Rate of pay: £12.21 Hours: 6hrs per week during school term, 12hrs per week in school holidays. Personal Assistant (PA) is required to support an 18‑year‑old young man to access social and leisure activities within the community. He is easy‑going, cheeky, affectionate and enjoys a wide range of activities including music (especially Hits Radio East Yorkshire), gaming on the PlayStation 5, competitive sport, game shows, walks, the beach, bowling and cinema. He also enjoys pub lunches when sport is on TV and is quick to offer a cuddle and a smile. He is happy, likes joking and teasing banter and brings a joyful spirit to any occasion. He has a very limited view of danger and limited balance. The successful candidate must ensure he is kept safe when out in the community and support him when crossing the road, using ramps or steps, and when transferring to and from the toilet. Parents assist with most personal care tasks, but support is needed for toileting when outside. A car driver would be preferred, but the right personality—relaxed, patient and easy to get along with—is far more important. The successful applicant will be employed subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the local authority/employer. Fixed mileage payments will be provided per week for term time and holidays.
