Band 6 - SCPHN Health Visitor Redbridge has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Health Visitor to join our innovative and forward thinking 0-19 skilled mix team. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated practitioner with initiative and drive who is keen to contribute to the further development of our service. We work in close collaboration with Children Centres as well as other agencies to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities for children, young people and their families in our borough. You need to have excellent communication skills and experience of working in partnership across organisational boundaries. You need to be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery. The successful candidate will work to ensure health equalities for children and families across Redbridge including those on universal and targeted caseloads. Duties include undertaking mandated contacts according to the Healthy Child Programme, supporting the safeguarding agenda and taking on supervision of colleagues and students. Starting with NELFT NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop‑in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff.
