Junior Electrical System Support Technicians role at TipTopJob Salary: cGBP27,400 + premium hours rates, overtime and benefits (realistic OTE: GBP36k+) Location: Derby, England Our client is a market leader in innovative integrated systems and offers high‑quality services including Project Management, Implementation, Consultancy and Software Development. The company is expanding and is seeking Junior Electrical System Support Technicians to join a skilled team of electrical and controls engineers. As a System Support Technician you will be responsible for preventative maintenance, design and modification of SCADA, PLC and related subsystems, and for providing 24‑hour emergency call‑out availability across sites nationwide. Full training will be provided to junior technicians with experience or interest in engineering and technology. You will travel throughout the UK, work nights on a regular basis and hold a full UK driving licence and a valid passport with no criminal convictions for security clearance required at airports. During training at the Derby Head Office you will develop skills to design, implement and test control/integrated systems, program PLCs using Ladder Logic, Function Block or Statement List methods, configure SCADA software packages, program in languages such as C, C++, VB and VBA, undertake IP network design and configuration, and design and test ELV electrical panels. You will be a team player, determined, conscientious, and enjoy diagnosing and solving problems while delivering the highest levels of customer service. You must be willing to travel throughout the UK, work nights on a regular basis, be based in or able to relocate at short notice to the East Midlands region, hold a full UK driving licence, and attain security clearance for airport work. Qualifications: NVQ, C and G or HNC or above in a relevant electrical, electronic or IT discipline. Eligibility to work in the UK with immediate effect.
