The Role As a Paid Performance Executive, you will primarily support with analysis, campaign implementation, optimisation, delivery and evaluation of clients’ paid search campaigns. Along with your line manager, you will be jointly responsible for the effective running of and performance of campaigns. This role is pivotal in providing the insight and data needed to drive performance improvements for our clients. You will work with some of the most recognisable brands in the UK – with a portfolio of clients across sectors including retail, fashion and B2B. PPC Search, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns are critical channels for these businesses, so there are multi‑million pound budgets you will be helping to manage to effectively deliver against ambitious growth targets. Key Responsbilities Setting‑up and managing Paid Search accounts and campaigns across various search engines (including Google & Microsoft) with a clear understanding of best practice account structure. Optimisation of campaigns across multiple formats, including Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen and possibly app. Ad copy creation, development, testing, optimisation, automation and personalisation, including asset management. Improving ad strength across campaigns through keyword, copy, asset and landing page relevance optimisation. Managing daily spend through automated and machine learning‑led bid optimisation, in line with targets and monthly budgets. Using search and bid management tools to manage and optimise keywords, negatives, ads, bids, bid modifiers, audience lists etc. Developing a rich understanding of consumer search behaviour for particular clients and verticals and conducting keyword research across the consumer journey. Monitoring & analysing paid performance campaigns to deliver rich insight to clients and drive optimisation decisions. Monitoring and analysing competitor activity through competitor monitoring technology and partner communication to provide rich insights and trends to clients. If necessary, be comfortable reporting any potential issues or concerns with management, if you believe escalation may be required. Supporting the execution of strategy, forecasting and testing plans for clients. Where relevant, contribute to client roadmaps and media plans. Putting forward innovative test ideas to drive performance improvements, including new partners, technologies or solutions. Providing diligent, consistent attention to the management of administrative aspects of the job. Ensuring accurate reporting based on client specifications and KPI’s. Presenting performance updates to clients and internal teams on a regular basis. Logging time accurately and regularly via the company time management platform. Overseeing accurate and timely finance administration – including billings, reconciliation and budgeting. On‑going development of your industry knowledge. Keeping up to date with the latest changes in the paid landscape to ensure your knowledge is always relevant and cutting edge. Delivering work within deadlines and within scope. Maintaining an in-depth understanding of company technology, products, and services. Desirable Skills And Experience Previous experience in paid search or affiliate marketing (desirable) Interest in and, understanding of, digital media. Knowledge of industry tools and technologies. Good numeracy skills with strong knowledge/experience of MS Excel. Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Strong time‑management skills and the ability to prioritise workload. A strong written and verbal communicator with gravitas and confidence. Ability to work under pressure and deliver to a high standard. Fastidious attention to detail. A high energy, positive, can‑do person who is always looking for ways to improve what we do. Someone who can make things happen and likes to be accountable. A hunger to learn.
