Job Description Senior Timber Designer London or Bristol (Hybrid) £45,000 - £55,000 Timber Engineering We are working with an exciting company that works on a wide range of timber projects from staircases to bespoke buildings. The ideal candidate will have worked with a variety of timber including Timber Frame, Glulam and CLT and will be able to run projects from concept to completion. As a Senior Timber Designer, you will: Lead and coordinate the technical design of projects through their design stages Lead project design teams and manage their input into design delivery, including defining design scopes and programmes Oversee and carry out the production of 3D models of timber structures, connections and interface details Oversee and carry out production of 2D drawings for each project stage Oversee production of fabrication information including files for CADCAM Carry out coordination with third parties including project architects and engineers Prepare schedules, drawing lists, drawing issue sets and specification documents What we are looking for: 4+ years of specialist timber design experience Knowledge of the international timber industry and fabrication processes Knowledge of contemporary timber construction detailing and processes Knowledge of design quality management and document control procedures Preferred software experience: Rhino / Grasshopper, CadWork, or Revit This is a great opportunity for a senior timber designer to join an expanding company and work on exciting projects.
