Maintenance Operative
Location: Kettering, UK
Salary: £23,901.08 + on-call allowance (one week in three)
Hours: 37.5 per week

Pertemps are seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Operative to join our clients facilities team, supporting the safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation of sites. This is a full-time position working on a rotating split-shift pattern.
 
Shift Pattern
Week 1: Monday–Friday, 5:30am – 1:30pm
Week 2: Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Week 3: Monday–Friday, 11:00am – 7:00pm
 
Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Operative will independently carry out a wide range of duties, ensuring the smooth running and security of the facilities, including:

Performing general caretaking and maintenance tasks, including DIY, basic plumbing, painting, decorating, and operating a FLT.
Completing toilet log reports and documenting all work carried out.
Managing the opening and closing of the site and maintaining site security.
Conducting safety and maintenance checks on pool cars.
Responding to intruder and fire alarm callouts as required.
Acting as a site key holder.
Carrying out routine Health & Safety inspections.
Performing occasional heavy lifting.
Supporting hospitality requirements when needed. 
About You

We are looking for someone who is:
Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and priorities.
Positive, proactive, and solutions-focused.
Experienced in building strong working relationships across departments.
In possession of a full UK driving licence.
Willing to train and serve as a first aider.
Skilled in problem solving with a practical mind-set.
