About the Role

We are seeking a patient, empathetic, and dedicated SEN Tutor to support secondary students with Special Educational Needs at a welcoming and inclusive school in Hillingdon.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to young learners who need tailored guidance to help them thrive both academically and personally.

Working with students on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis, you will deliver targeted sessions focused on developing confidence, independence, and key learning skills. The role is ideal for someone who is calm, compassionate, and passionate about supporting every child to reach their full potential.

About the School

This forward-thinking secondary school in Hillingdon is deeply committed to inclusion and student wellbeing. The staff pride themselves on creating a nurturing environment where every pupil feels valued, supported, and inspired to succeed.

The school benefits from:

• A strong, supportive SEN team with experienced professionals who share best practice and collaborate closely

• Modern facilities and resources, making personalised teaching more effective and engaging

• A positive and respectful school culture, built on mutual trust and high expectations

• Easy transport links and on-site parking, ensuring a smooth commute for staff

You’ll be joining a community that values both its students and its staff — where your contribution will be recognised and celebrated.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly at Key Stages 3–5

• Is empathetic, patient, and able to build positive relationships with young people

• Understands how to adapt teaching styles to meet individual learning needs

• Works well independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Teaching Assistant, SEN, or tutoring background preferred)

If you’re passionate about inclusive education and enjoy making learning accessible for all, this is the perfect role for you.

Benefits of the Role

• Opportunity to make a tangible impact on students’ confidence and progress

• Flexible, part-time hours ideal for work-life balance

• Supportive school environment that values continuous professional growth

• A chance to gain or build experience in a respected London secondary school
