You'll coach and mentor employees on how to effectively use these systems, while actively monitoring their implementation through audits and inspections. By constructively challenging the effectiveness of risk controls, you'll help drive continuous improvement and strengthen our safety culture. You'll also play a key role in supporting the Divisional Head of SHEQ, contributing to our shared goal of achieving health and safety excellence across the organisation.ResponsibilitiesPromote and support SHEQ across divisions, depots, and sites within your remitAct as a SHEQ ambassador, encouraging innovative solutions and collaborationDevelop and implement policies, procedures, and risk controls to reduce riskWork closely with internal teams and clients to meet SHEQ targets and drive improvementMonitor performance against Occupational Health and Safety PlansConduct site visits, audits, and inspections; provide feedback and corrective guidanceEnsure timely closure of corrective actions with measurable improvementsSupport planning workshops and assist with RAMS, Job Packs, and briefingsAttend client SHEQ forums and represent the business professionallyLead or support investigations and assurance audits to uphold SHEQ standardsAbout youYou're a qualified SHEQ professional with experience in power / electrical, infrastructure, or construction, holding a NEBOSH Certificate and actively working toward-or already holding-the NEBOSH Diploma. With IOSH membership (Tech IOSH or above), you bring practical knowledge of SHEQ legislation, systems, and risk management, and have a strong background in project safety planning, compliance assessments, and reviewing RAMS.
