Trainee Residential Child Support Worker

Fulbridge Social Care is a provider of residential care services for young people aged 7-17 who may have experienced various challenges in their lives. We are seeking passionate and dedicated Trainee Residential Child Care Workers to join our team. As a Child Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding our young residents. You will provide day‑to‑day care, facilitate engaging activities, and foster positive relationships, all while promoting independence and personal development. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality care and support to young residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. Create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and self‑esteem. Plan and facilitate recreational and educational activities, helping residents to develop new skills and interests. Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household duties. Build positive relationships with residents, promoting trust and open communication. Maintain accurate records and reports regarding residents' care plans and progress. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, therapists, and educational staff. Participate in staff training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Qualifications and Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with children. Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young people.
