A Trainee Project Manager works closely with the project team and Senior PM to successfully deliver project outputs. They assist in scheduling, risk management, cost control, stakeholder management, and governance, among others. Strong technical and soft skills are crucial for success in this role. Duties typically include:

As part of the apprenticeship, all candidates will be undertaking the Association of Project Management Qualification (APMQ). The APM is the only chartered membership organisation for the project profession, so it is recognised worldwide.

Typical Working Week

40 hours p/w with a start time typically between 07:00 & 08:00, inclusive of paid 8 hours at college.

  • Proactive approach, taking pride in their work and accountability for decisions.

  • Ability to visit different sites and training days.
  • Curiosity to learn quickly in a reactive and dynamic working environment.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions to serve our customers and protect the environment.
  • Able to understand and follow health and safety protocols.
  • Role based in Maidstone office with regular visits to projects across London.

Qualifications Required/Desirable

Minimum Requirements:

English and Maths at GCSE Grade 4 / C or above, or Functional Skills at Level 2 or above.

The role will be based out of Farnborough, but candidates may need to drive in and around London from time to time.

Desired Requirements:

Enthusiasm and a strong interest in project management, with a desire to develop a career in the field.

Key Training/College Information

K10 will enrol you in the Level 4 Associate Project Management course and fund your qualifications through an accredited training provider.

The apprenticeship duration is 24 months.

Eligibility

  • Living in England for the last 3 years and have right to work status.
  • Not enrolled in any other courses.
  • 18+ due to site H&S rules.
  • Must have a full UK driving licence and their own vehicle transportation.
