Role: 3rd Line Support Engineer
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum

Our client, a leading IT services provider, is seeking a 3rd Line Support Engineer to deliver high-level technical support across complex systems and infrastructure. This is a great opportunity to work within a collaborative environment where your technical expertise will directly influence service quality and client satisfaction.
What you’ll do
Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for escalated technical issues
Support and maintain infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud environments
Deliver technical guidance and mentoring to 1st and 2nd line engineers
Manage system upgrades, patching, and configuration changes
Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability, security, and performance across client environments.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience in a 3rd Line or senior technical support role
Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, O365, Azure AD)
Experience with networking, firewalls, and virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V)
Familiarity with backup, monitoring, and IT security solutions
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable managing a varied workload in a dynamic support environment.
