Working closely with the Lead Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician for Aseptic Services, the successful candidate will contribute to maintaining compliance with Trust governance, audit and quality assurance standards. Responsibilities include:Maintaining and reviewing aseptic Standard Operating Procedures, risk assessments and quality improvement actions following external audits.Acting as the Pharmacy Department Health and Safety Lead to ensure compliance with Trust policies, oversee COSHH documentation, conduct safety audits and promote a culture of wellbeing and continuous improvement.Serving as Pharmacy Lead for Medical Gases, ensuring adherence to HTM 02‑01, MHRA and Trust standards, and coordinating safe management, training and audit activities.Delivering Health and Safety and COSHH training, supporting governance and quality assurance processes and contributing to service development, education and compliance with professional and legal requirements.Qualifications and ExperienceEssential qualificationsNVQ level 3 pharmacy services or equivalent and registration with the GPhC.ACT qualification and/or Product Approval Accreditation.Desirable qualificationsNationally recognised qualification in Health and Safety.Working knowledge of the requirements of HTM 02‑01 Medical Gas Pipeline Systems.Essential experienceExperience in pharmacy practice and hospital pharmacy.Teaching and training experience.Desirable experienceExperience conducting and recording Health and Safety and COSHH risk assessments.Legal and registration requirementsThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
