Flourish Education are seeking an experienced and qualified SENCO to join our primary school in Oldbury from January 2026 to Easter 2026. This non-class-based role can be offered full time or part time (3–4 days per week). The successful candidate will lead the school’s SEND provision as Inclusion Lead, overseeing a register of 75 pupils, including 12 with EHCPs. They will be responsible for writing and reviewing support plans, coordinating annual reviews, and ensuring all statutory processes are completed to a high standard. Roles and responsibilities of an SEND Teacher: Oversee the strategic development of SEND provision across the school as Inclusion Lead. Ensure all statutory requirements for SEND are met and documentation is kept to a high standard. Write and review individual support plans, provision maps, and targeted interventions. Lead and coordinate annual reviews and other statutory meetings. Coordinate referrals, assessments, and multi‑agency involvement where required. Suitable SEND Teacher Candidates will have the following: SENCO qualification (NASENCo). Experience teaching children with SEMH needs or in specialist settings (PRU, SEND base, or special school). Strong understanding of SEND legislation, processes, and statutory responsibilities. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, families, and external partners. Why work with Flourish Education?
