OverviewTheatre Practitioner – Scrub, Circle Health GroupThe Chiltern Hospital, Great Missenden37.5 Hours, PermanentSalary up to £38,800.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)DutiesAssist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, anticipating surgeon needs, and ensuring equipment safety; support the Anaesthetist in equipment preparation, patient monitoring, airway management, and positioning; provide post-operative care, monitor vital signs, manage pain and nausea, and ensure patient readiness for discharge.Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures at all times.Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and specific patient requirements.Check all surgical and anaesthetic equipment prior to use and report faults immediately.Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve safe and efficient surgical lists.Support and contribute to a positive, respectful, and efficient theatre environment.Person specification / QualificationsRegistered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).Experience or training in a theatre environment specialising in scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery.Understanding of infection control, manual handling, and patient safety principles.Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and respond quickly to changes in a dynamic environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to safe surgical practice.Previous orthopaedic experience is preferred.Salary & Benefits25 days holiday per year + bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with servicePrivate Pension SchemePrivate Healthcare Scheme for treatment at our hospitals, covering pre-existing medical conditionsFriends & Family Hospital DiscountsFamily Friendly policies, including enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption payNon-contributory life insuranceStaff engagement hub with access to discounts and extensive rewards and voluntary benefitsResources to support wellbeingEmployee recognition programmesIndustry leading training and development opportunitiesCircle Health Group is committed to creating a diverse workforce offering inclusive opportunities for all our colleagues.
