OverviewJoin NHS Supply Chain as an Accounts Payable Associate to support a high‑volume finance team that transforms care delivery for the NHS.ResponsibilitiesThe role requires accurate and timely invoice processing, supplier and reporting to ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards and VAT regulations.Process high volumes of invoices, coding, authorising and posting for payment while resolving queries promptly.Prepare supplier payment runs, maintaining approval controls in accordance with the delegation scheme.Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any reconciling items on time.Produce required internal and external reporting, supporting finance team needs.Assist with wider finance duties, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.QualificationsEssential skills and experience for success in this role:Previous experience in a busy Accounts Payable environment.Ability to work efficiently in a high‑volume finance department.Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs (Excel test required).GCSE Maths and English, C grade or above.Strong communication skills and stakeholder management.BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary of £25,650 (potential to rise to £28,500 over 3 years) and a comprehensive benefits package:Hybrid working flexibility.Annual bonus scheme, long service, and VIP award recognitions.27 holiday days plus bank holidays (option to purchase 5 additional days).In‑house training and external qualification support.1 paid well‑being leave day and free 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.Generous pension scheme (12% employer match on 6% contribution).Flexible Benefits Scheme covering life, critical illness, income protection, health cash plans, dental, and additional pension contributions.2 paid volunteering leave days.Access to Blue Light Card NHS discounts.Inclusive CommitmentNHS Supply Chain commits to building an inclusive environment where difference is celebrated.
