Senior Technical Consultant - Data Migration at PlotBox Senior Technical Consultant - Data Migration Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week in our Ballymena HQ, Co Antrim. Contract type: 12 month fixed term contract We’re looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to lead complex customer data migration projects and help shape the future of data delivery at PlotBox. In this role, you’ll combine hands‑on technical expertise with leadership and mentoring—working within a talented team to deliver high‑quality, efficient migrations to the PlotBox platform. As a recognised subject matter expert, you’ll influence technical direction, drive process improvements, and ensure every migration is delivered with precision and care. What you will do : Lead and deliver complex customer data migration projects on time, within scope, and to budget. Act as a subject matter expert for data migration, providing technical guidance and mentorship. Review and optimise data migration scripts and methodologies for efficiency and accuracy. Execute Quality Assurance tests and checks on Data Migration scripts. Manage and support a team of migration specialists, fostering collaboration and continuous learning. Work directly with customers to understand requirements, resolve issues, and build trust. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team performance and scalability. Represent the Data Migration function within wider project delivery and cross‑departmental initiatives. What we are looking for : Successful completion of several complex customer data migration projects from legacy systems to SaaS Solid experience using SQL, you will have 5+ years (or equivalent) experience working with varied data formats (csv, MS SQL, Excel, MySQL, PostGres etc.) Working closely with customers on a regular basis to gather requirements or support UAT Training or mentoring team members Desirable Experience -Its not a deal breaker, but ideally you will have: Experience with Python, ETL tools, or automation scripting. Experience working in SaaS environments or with cloud data platforms. Why should you join PlotBox ?
