Data Engineer – Newcastle | Finance Sector I’m currently partnered with a leading financial firm building a new data capability in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-calibre team at an early stage, helping to shape the data infrastructure behind a world-class investment business. We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, building scalable data pipelines, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Design and develop advanced data pipelines from multiple sources Enhance, test, and maintain the central data platform Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and accessibility for investment teams Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive innovation and efficiency Requirements 3–6 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related role Strong skills in Python, SQL, AWS, Git, and Airflow Proven ability to improve data quality and system performance Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Minimum 2:1 degree from a Russell Group or Ivy League university in Computer Science or a related field Experience within a hedge fund or financial data environment is essential Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology, Finance, and Engineering Industries IT System Data Services, Financial Services, and Data Infrastructure and Analytics If you’re a motivated Data Engineer looking to make an impact within the financial sector, get in touch to learn more. #J-18808-Ljbffr
