Payroll Supervisor

Payroll Supervisor - Torquay Full-time, with flexible working hours Permanent Up to £35000 depending on experience. Office based The company/role: Butler Rose are recruiting for a market leading organisation covering a range of offices within the UK and have a reputation for excellence and growth. We are seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to oversee the payroll function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a smooth service for all employees. Key Responsibilities Supervise the day-to-day payroll operations for weekly and monthly paid staff. Manage, support and develop the payroll team. Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, RTI submissions and pension auto-enrolment. Oversee payroll reconciliations, year-end processes (P60, P11D, P45), and statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP). Liaise with HR and Finance teams to resolve queries and improve processes. Maintain confidentiality and ensure GDPR compliance at all times. What We're Looking For Previous payroll experience in a supervisory or senior payroll role. Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and reporting requirements. Proficiency in payroll software (e.g. Sage, Iris, ADP, or similar). Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and people management skills. CIPP qualification (or working towards) desirable. What they Offer Competitive salary + benefits package.
