This Position reports to: Service Manager Represents ABB as a Home Based, Field Service Engineer in the Kent area on customer paper manufacturing facilities. As part of the Southern Service Team provide 24/7 support on site for ABB QCS and DCS equipment. After initial ABB product training, you will be responsible to deliver the Service Agreement to scope, activities include Preventative and Corrective maintenance on ABB QCS/DCS equipment, configuration, calibration, modification, cleaning, adjustment. Participate in a 1 week in 3 on Call Rota. Develop a strong working relationship with customer across production and engineering. Here, your work creates impact you can see and feel, every day. Your Role and Responsibilities Provide high level field and in‑house technical support, including out of hours support. Fulfil Service Agreement obligations, demonstrated by the use of ABB ServicePro and other reporting tools. Provide application support and software troubleshooting to customers, on site and by remote dial‑in. Advise clients as to maintenance procedures, evolution, site planning, operational methods, process measurement and control. Flexibility to travel to sites anywhere in the UK for above activities in addition to primary areas of responsibility. Prepare and write technical reports for internal and external use. Promote sales of maintenance services and equipment, including spare parts, and advise Sales department of possible sales leads. Assist Sales and Account management with preparation of quotations. Commission equipment in the field as part of the project team.
