Bring your skills to the mix as a Principal Civil Maritime Engineer, you will play a vital role in every aspect of maritime engineering on transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad. Your Role Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels. Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals. Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes. Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. Adhere to quality assurance standards in design. About You Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer. Experience leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design within the port and maritime environment. Knowledge in the civil and structural design of port and maritime infrastructure supporting port operations, the berthing and mooring of vessels, and the transit of people and goods around the globe. Experience with current UK and European design standards including BS6349. Proficiency in the use of and designing with appropriate FEA packages. Security clearance This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
