We focus on three core areas: Proposal Management, which oversees the end-to-end bid process to deliver competitive proposals aligned with strategic goals; Business Development and Engagement, which builds regional and national strategies to strengthen market presence; and Client Development/Engagement, which focuses on key account management in strategic sectors, applying structured engagement, value proposition development and capture planning to secure major bids. Together, we promote the AtkinsRéalis Buildings & Places market externally and optimise opportunities with key accountsWe want to hear from youWe are seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for end-to-end Leadership and co-ordination of strategic bids, covering the capture phase, proposal development, and post-submission activities.You will act as a champion for the development of persuasive, compliant, easy to read written proposals and support the upskilling of business unit win work teams and technical practices.The ideal candidate will bring a track record of success in end to end leadership and co-ordination of bids and proposal delivery, and collaborating with stakeholders in large corporate environments.## ## Your Role* Lead and manage strategic pursuits end to end including;* Bid Strategy & Planning* Capture Management* Proposal Development* Team Leadership & Coordination* Governance & Compliance* Post-Submission Activities* Lead the development of best-in-class proposal submissions through adoption of best practices and processes, securing necessary inputs from technical subject matter experts, Bid administration and Proposal Writers (where appropriate) to develop compliant, persuasive content* Implement best in class approaches and tools (including generative AI) to support the development of compelling and compliant written content and clear articulation of our value proposition.* Identify and implement actions to continuously improve proposal delivery.* Work with our Growth Office to understand and implement new training and guidance materials that will enhance our capabilities in Buildings & Places## About you* The ideal candidate will bring a track record of success in proposal management and execution for major pursuits, team building and collaborating with stakeholders in large corporate environments. Skills and experience should include:* A degree or equivalent qualification (relevant technical certifications in business development activity would be desirable).* Proven end to end Bid & Proposal Management experience in the engineering, construction, or professional services sectors. A strong track record of managing and delivering high-value proposals.* An understanding of professional Services projects and terminology, with the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable proposal content.* Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under pressure and with tight deadlines.* Excellent editing, and verbal communication skills. The potential to craft a clear, compelling, and persuasive narrative ideally including experience of using generative AI writing tools.* Meticulous attention to detail is essential to ensure compliance and high-quality deliverables.* A collaborative and motivating leadership style with the ability to build strong working relationships across diverse teams.* Well-developed emotional intelligence with the ability to flex your style to suit different stakeholders and support others to do the same as part of wider development activity.## Reward & benefitsExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive – at every stage of your life and your career.
