Our Civil Engineering client operates throughout the UK delivering integrated solutions for projects in Water, Utilities, Rail, Highway's and Energy. Their Civils division operates within the water industry delivering projects for Tier1 main contractors. Due to recent awards and a healthy order book for clients working in a 5year framework, they are looking for a Site or Sub Agent to initially manage 2-3 £500k projects within the Thames Valley region (Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, and Buckinghamshire). There will be a mixture of 2 days in the office, 2 on site and 1 working from home with the requirement to travel within an hour's radius when required. Job Description Management and awareness of all aspects of day-to-day site production for the satisfactory completion of specific elements of the project, including resource management, forward planning, and communication with their teams. Preparation of all relevant documentation prior to the commencement of the installation phase of contracts. Risk Assessments and Method Statements for activities being undertaken by directly employed resources. Manage, supervise and mentor engineering resource to ensure compliance with the contract drawings, specification and ensuring effective implementation of all engineering controls. Support the Project Manager with controlling costs, forecasting value and the production of programmes. Management and control of all site activities ensuring that all work is undertaken in a safe and timely manner in accordance with all Safety, Health and Environmental legislation, all relevant contractual timescales, and all relevant contract specifications. Experience required. Degree or HND in Civil Engineering. Demonstrable experience of working within the water and / or sewage industries (preferred). Previous experience in a similar role within Civil Engineering and design & build projects. Strong civil engineering background with solid knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental procedures. Relevant H&S qualifications (IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management, A relevant CSCS card, First Aid training and EUSR). Good understanding of commercial and contractual aspects.
