Location: Blackburn area
Salary: competitive salary + weekly shift premium
Shifts: Double Days (flexible – choose Days only, Lates only, or rotate)

The Opportunity
We’re recruiting for a precision engineering firm that’s heavily invested in its workshop and continuing to expand its CNC turning section.
They’re looking for a skilled CNC Sliding Head Programmer/Setter/Operator with experience on managing Star machines (other sliding experience considered) to join their growing team.
You’ll be producing high-precision components across a range of projects and have the opportunity to develop across other turning platforms — including single/twin spindle and turret machines. For the right person, there’s a clear path into a Shopfloor Lead / Manager role as the business continues to grow.
The Role
*
Managing, setting and operating sliding head lathes, with the option to working on other twin spindle, or twin turret lathes.
*
Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
*
Optimising programs for quality, efficiency, and cycle time
*
Occasional support across other CNC turning machines
Working Hours
Flexible Double Day shifts – pick what suits you best:
Days: Mon – Thur, or Mon – Fri early finish
Lates: Mon –Thur, or Mon – Fri early finish
(Option to work either shift permenant or alternate weekly)
