Senior UK/EU Recruitment Consultant – Full Stack Developer Location: Sheffield, UK (Hybrid) Role Title: Full Stack Developer Responsibilities Oversee full stack backend microservices development, API architecture design, and application performance tuning. Lead and mentor engineering teams, drive continuous improvement, and influence technical decisions. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related majors. Minimum 8 years of applied experience as an API engineer. Strong expertise in API design, architectural artifacts, gap analysis, low level designs, and data modeling. More than 5 years of back‑end microservices development, application security, authentication, cache, and middleware. 8+ years in Java and preferably Go and Rust. Expertise in JVM tuning, diagnostics, and performance optimization. Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and service mesh. Monitoring and observability: Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, Kiali, OpenTelemetry. Cloud and DevOps knowledge, including VPC, firewall, IAM, delivery sizing and costing. Hands‑on Linux OS, networking, storage, load balancing, and Kubernetes CNI. Strong SQL programming skills. Background in a financial institution, ideally in payments. Independent, innovative, and willing to take accountability. Leadership and mentoring skills. Excellent listening, rapid learning, and communication. Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities. Team player capable of driving initiative and business judgment. Adaptive, prioritizes tasks, and meets deadlines in dynamic environments.
