Temporary Accommodation Health & Safety Compliance Officer Join Lewisham Council as our new Temporary Accommodation Health & Safety Compliance Officer. Your role will be critical in ensuring all temporary accommodation stock meets statutory health and safety requirements. Job Description As part of the Housing Services Directorate, you will work with housing providers and tenants to acquire the relevant gas, electric and Energy Performance certificates. You will manage the Council’s compliance processes, coordinating, controlling and verifying certification across all temporary accommodations to ensure statutory compliance. In addition, you will plan and deliver digital content that considers best user journeys, working with colleagues from a wide range of services to review, optimise and improve areas on the website and intranet. You will support the development and roll‑out of our new digital content strategy with a focus on our website and intranet. What’s in it for you? You should understand the responsibilities for safety, health and welfare placed on all parties involved in health and safety compliance and have the knowledge and understanding of the activities, functions and processes involved in providing a regulatory compliance service. Location The position is based primarily in Laurence House but operates on a hybrid approach, requiring regular office time and work from home.
