OverviewNew Vacancy - Underwriter (Financial Institutions)City of LondonHybridI am currently recruiting for a leading Lloyd's Insurer who are seeking an Underwriter to join their growing FI team. You will be Underwriting a broad range of FI risks on a global basis including Asset Managers, Banks and more.This role will be working closely with the FI team to grow and build out the portfolio, Underwriting a range of FI/Commercial D&O products in the mid-market space. My client is looking for either an AU/Underwriter or Broker with at least 2/3+ years experience in the FI space.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderwriting & Risk Assessment - Assess, underwrite, and negotiate Directors & Officers (D&O) and Financial Institutions (FI) accounts in line with company strategy, quality of risk, and individual underwriting authority.Business Development - Drive growth by writing new and renewal business to meet Gross Written Premium (GWP) targets, while building and maintaining strong broker relationships.Portfolio Management - Take ownership of underwriting decisions and be accountable for the performance, development, and profitability of your book of business.Relationship Management - Build and sustain effective relationships with brokers, insurers, and clients through regular engagement, including meetings, travel, and client events as required.Client Engagement - Actively participate in broker and client meetings, taking a leading role where appropriate, and encouraging reciprocal engagement to strengthen partnerships.Compliance & Governance - Ensure all underwriting activity adheres to internal policies, underwriting agreements, legal requirements, and industry best practices.Market Insight - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor activity, particularly within the SME and mid-market segments for D&O and FI lines.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinance and SalesIndustries - InsuranceReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at HJF Promotional Products by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
