Supply Lecturer

As a Lecturer of Health and Social Care at EKC Group, you'll play a key role in developing the next generation of care professionals; creating inspiring learning experiences and supporting learners to achieve their full potential. In this role, you will: Key Responsibilities Teach, train and assess learners across a range of dynamic learning environments. Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that motivate and challenge students. Support learners holistically, helping them to grow in confidence and skill. Lead on designated programmes and courses, ensuring strong curriculum design, delivery and evaluation. Champion excellence, contributing to a positive, forward-thinking teaching culture. You will be highly organised and creative, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to assess and track student progress, using this information to plan effective interventions that help every learner develop the skills they need to succeed. Ideally, some experience of teaching or workplace training, although this isn’t essential, as full training will be provided. A positive, empathetic outlook, with a commitment to supporting learners. Commitment to Safeguarding We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and we ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities for upholding these principles. As a designated establishment, we are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore have an obligation to carry out checks to ensure that staff are suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults. These checks include conviction/caution self‑declaration, Enhanced DBS check and obtaining sufficient referencing. Compensation and Administration Please note that our Supply Lecturers are paid £18.72 per hour worked and if planning and admin is required, a further half an hour may be claimed per hour of teaching. £140 per day is therefore a rate for 5 hours teaching with 2.5 hours of planning and admin. Any addition to the approved staffing list is not a guarantee of employment or hours of work. Once you have been interviewed and all pre‑employment checks are complete, you will then be placed within the supply pool of staff available for temporary work.
