Job DescriptionQualified Social Worker, Derbyshire Council, Children in Care Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 3 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
- Statutory duties relating to children in care
- Court work relating to looked after children
- Developing and progressing care and pathways plans
- Direct work with children
- Knowledge of looked after procedures
- Experience of discharging care orders and rehabilitating children back to family
- Liaise with other professionals
- 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
- 3 month Temporary Contract
- Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
