About the role - you will: We are looking for an inspiring leader to motivate, mentor, and develop a team of Engineering Specialists. As the Shift Equipment Technician Manager, you will oversee planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance across a wide range of complex manufacturing equipment. Your leadership will ensure the highest standards of equipment availability and effectiveness. Manage team of Technicians, including the effective communication of goals, providing training and development opportunities and providing feedback on performance in a high performing team environment. Comply with Health & Safety procedures including the reporting of accidents/incidents/work related illnesses, regular safety audits, compliance with standard operating procedures. Report on the condition of equipment, analysing patterns of breakdowns and ensure preventative maintenance is completed on schedule as per the maintenance database system. Take the lead in downtime situations to resolve issues, providing an immediate response and timely resolution. Adapt plans and manage changes that arise because of priority adjustments, resources, policies, organisation changes or technology. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness. Be actively involved in continuous improvement initiatives and promote a continuous improvement culture within the team. Provide engineering advice and support to site operational teams regarding equipment performance. Promote and drive the building of cross-departmental relationships within the Springtown facility to improve work effectiveness. Maintain focus on producing results that meet or exceed plans and goals. About you: You are an inspiring leader who can motivate, mentor, and develop a team of Engineering Specialists. You excel in effective communication, providing clear goals, training, and feedback to your team. You are adaptable and can manage changes due to priority adjustments, resources, policies, organisation changes, or technology. Your experience includes: Relevant Level 4 Qualification (e.g Technical or Management) or a relevant Level 3 Qualification with 3 years relevant experience (e.g Technical or Management). A strong technical profile with demonstrated relevant experience analysing trends and patterns to identify preventative maintenance solutions and continuous improvement opportunities. Demonstrated leadership capability within a high performing team environment. You may also have: You will bring a strong people supervisory / management profile with demonstrated experience in all HR management aspects for the role. Demonstrating a successful track record of managing a team of people against goals and targets, in a pressurised work environment. A relevant health and safety qualification such as CSR gold, IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent. You might have a recognised management qualification. Work Shifts: 12-hour onsite shifts that include days and nights. Working shift include: 4 nights on 4 days off, 2 days on 2 days off, 3 days on 3 days off, 3 nights 3 days off, 2 days on 2 days off.
