Water Hygiene Engineer/Plumber – Reading

Job Description A prominent and dynamic water treatment company with a large presence across the country and at the same time with a commitment to providing professional services to a mixed portfolio of clients is actively seeking a high calibre and multi‑skilled Water Hygiene Engineer/Plumber based in and around the Reading area, including applications from Newbury, Slough, Bracknell and the surrounding areas. Requirements Must have experience working in the Legionella/Water Treatment industry Must be conversant with current ACOP L8 guidelines Ideally, the applicant will have City & Guilds qualification Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal Must be conversant with current guidelines Must have hands‑on experience in plumbing Key Responsibilities Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling, analysing water systems and interpreting results at the same time Attending sites and carrying out testing on closed and domestic systems Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cooling water systems and cooling towers Cleaning and disinfection of CWSTs Servicing and testing of TMVs Carrying out any other plumbing work as required Maintaining paperwork and ensuring all work is carried out effectively and within the required time frame Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients/customers In general, the successful applicant will be versatile, flexible, have good work ethic and the ability to carry out the work effectively and within time line, and will be prepared to travel extensively to sites designated by the client.
