Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with ½ hr early leave on rota, Saturday on rota basis 8:00am-1:00pm, currently 1 in 6 Saturdays. Location: Mercedes Benz of Tonbridge. Salary: Up to £43,000 OTE (including £34,000 to £37,000 basic depending on qualifications and experience, plus bonus). Lookers Mercedes Benz of Tonbridge is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join their fantastic workshop. While working alongside 13 experienced technicians, you will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and carrying out any additional repairs. Reporting to Jason Hallam, the Aftermarket Manager, you will receive ongoing support to ensure you have the tools needed to perform at the highest level. Responsibilities Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology. Conducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and customer requests. Carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer. Completing warranty repairs according to manufacturer’s guidelines with relevant write‑ups. Taking the customer’s vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified. Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a workshop. You will be self‑motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn, while working to the highest standards. Requirements include a full UK driving licence and completion of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. A MOT licence would be a bonus. Having previous experience with the brand would be advantageous, although not essential, as full brand accreditation training can be provided.
