Production Operative/ Logistics Operatives Toyota Manufacturing UK Burnaston, Derby.All roles are permanent contract positions with Proman, based on-site at TOYOTA.Job DescriptionThe Internal Logistics Department (ILD) is responsible for ensuring that production lines receive the parts required to assemble vehicles. Operatives in this department will drive either a Tow Motor or Dolly Truck and will work on a two-shift rotating pattern within any of the production shops.Toyota operates on a Just in Time system, meaning parts are delivered to the plant exactly when needed there is typically only one shift s worth of parts stored on-site. To manage stock levels efficiently, a Kanban system is used to track each part or group of small parts, ensuring minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained.When production line operatives use a part, its corresponding Kanban is sent back to ILD. The ILD team then replenishes and reorders that stock.
