The candidate must have extensive experience in paediatric and general radiology. A second area of subspecialist interest would be desirable. Main Duties Provide, in conjunction with consultant colleagues, a comprehensive radiology service. Provide an imaging advisory service for the hospital together with other Consultants in line with an agreed job plan with on‑call rota and prospective cover. liaise effectively and on a timely basis with General Practitioners and community services. maintain and promote team and multi‑disciplinary working within the radiology department. participate in the governance process. take part in continuing medical education activities. Person Specification Essential Qualifications On GMC's specialist register relevant to the post or a Specialist Registrar who is within 6 months of being admitted to the GMC's specialist register by date of interview FRCR (or equivalent) Desirable Qualifications Other higher degree or diploma (e.g. MD, PhD) MRCP or equivalent Essential Experience Extensive experience in Paediatric imaging. Participation in paediatric multidisciplinary team meetings. Desirable Experience Fellowship in paediatric imaging. Essential Clinical Skills Able to report a range of CT imaging independently. Proficient in performing general adult and paediatric ultrasound. Competent reporting plain X‑ray, including NICU X‑rays. Adult neuro and spine MR reporting experience. Desirable Clinical Skills Paediatric and Neo‑natal Neuro and MSK MR. Ability to perform and report MCUGs and barium swallows.
