Trainee Automotive Mechanic / Service Technician – SouthamptonTesla Southampton, England, United KingdomOverviewJoin Tesla’s flagship Service Technician Traineeship Programme as a Trainee Automotive Mechanic / Service Technician in Southampton. You’ll support our Service operation and help ensure vehicles are repaired & maintained to a high standard for our customers. This 24-month training programme provides expert career training & mentorship from service industry professionals, with practical, on-the-job training hosted from Tesla training facilities in Heathrow and/or Manchester. The programme focuses on potential and on-the-job learning, with a two-stage recruitment process (telephone screening and in-person group assessment).What To ExpectStart Date: 1 February 2026Duration: 24 monthsTime Type: Full-Time (shift-based - including weekend working)What You’ll DoLearn and understand how to perform basic inspections, repairs & maintenance of Tesla vehiclesAlways follow safety protocols & maintain professionalismLearn effectively & efficiently throughout a fast-paced hybrid training scheduleEffectively handle multiple priorities, workload, and deadlinesPass the mid-point & end-point programme assessments in order to graduate from the programmeDuring the 24-month training you’ll receive world-class training from Tesla technical trainers with a strong emphasis on practical skills and on-the-job experience. All programme training will be hosted from dedicated training facilities in Heathrow and/or Manchester. The programme has a strong focus on potential rather than academic achievement and a two-stage recruitment process.Your Training & Career ProgressionYou’ll enroll onto Tesla’s industry-leading in-house training schedule, with progression reviewed at key training intervals.
