About Darthaven

Darthaven is a trusted name in the marine industry with a long-standing reputation for excellence and commitment to customer satisfaction. We have been located in Kingswear on the River Dart for many years, surrounded by the stunning South Hams countryside. In 2024 we expanded our business into Plymouth, Britain's Ocean City.

We are currently seeking skilled engineers to fill positions at our Kingswear site. We pride ourselves in the reputation we have earned of providing first-class service to all our marine customers. We are also very proud of our status as an authorised Volvo Penta Distributing Dealer, supporting Volvo Penta dealers across the South West.

Be ready to be tasked with anything from technical fault-finding, repowering and upgrading of older vessels, alongside daily tasks of breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance to marine leisure, commercial vessels and the mechanical aspect of generators.

We normally work a 40 hour week, 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime hours are sometimes available for those who wish to work them, and it is sometimes a requirement to meet workload and deadlines. We also require rostered availability for emergency call-outs over weekends and some bank holidays. Overnight stays are sometimes required when working further afield or attending dealer-training courses.

Managing your allocated workload, you will complete time sheets, maintain customer engine service records, often online, use electronic parts catalogues to identify required parts, liaise directly with customers to keep them updated and respond to enquiries, providing the highest level of customer service at all times.

You will take the greatest care and attention to detail in your work and will always go the extra mile to ensure our customers keep coming back to Darthaven Services for all their marine requirements.
